The Atkinson Family is going stronger than ever with more Atkinsons and more vocal power!!
Dick Atkinson on banjo, along with Shelene and Liza Atkinson on guitar make up the bands core. All three family members take turns singing lead vocals and when singing together in harmony, blend like no others in the north country.
The Atkinson Family Band is pleased to introduce Laura Atkinson on bass, lead and harmony vocals. Laura is a graduate of the Crane School of Music, and holds a music degree in voice. Her vocal power is sure to knock your socks off, and the band is excited to add three part female vocal harmony with Laura on board. These three strong female vocalists,
Liza, Laura and Shelene help the Atkinson Family Band sound like no other in the north country.
Returning to the mix is Dave Bevins, the 2003 National Resonator Guitar Champion and hails from Chilson, NY. Dave's resonator guitar playing is featured on the newest release, Twilight of Day, along with Angels Rejoice CD and the Live at the Bainbridge Opera House CD and DVD. Dave is an exceptional, tasteful and inventive musician that fits very well with the Atkinson Family Band's unique sound.
Nick Piccininni from Verona, NY is a performer the Atkinson Family Band has enjoyed playing with in past years. He joins the Atkinson Family Band once again playing mandolin and fiddle. Nick is a well known musician from central New York and is well respected among his peers and is a great banjo and guitar player. Nick's style of playing and musical background works very well with the quality of music the Atkinson Family Band has become known for.
Please help us welcom Laura, Dave and Nick to the family. They help make us what we are!
