RootsA refreshing sound rooted in the Adirondack Mountains!!
2014 is here..........and we will be busy! Check out the upcoming show page!

Tug Hill Bluegrass Festival has something exciting in store for 2014! Stay tuned from YOUR HOSTS LOST TIME AND THE ATKINSON FAMILY!!!

The Atkinson Family will continue to perform in the northeast, west and south this year. To start the season off in March we will be at the Weston Rod and Gun Club in Weston, VT for the Jenny Brook Open Mic series, Saturday, March 8 and then at the Pickens Country Store in Heuvelton, NY on Friday, March 21st. We will be in New York State in June, a few more shows in New York in August and September, then in Indiana performing a couple of shows Labor Day Weekend, and in the south at the Larry Gillis SwampGrass Festival in October.

The Atkinson's are working on a new release we are hoping to be out this summer. We have some new songs that will be interesting to hear with a bluegrass twist. A Bob Dylan song, a Brandi Carlisle song, a Chris Smithers song, a few originals and some other surprises. Stay tuned!

Laura Atkinson is finding herself to be one of the best bass players in the area, keeping a driving bass line. Laura is one of the lead singers for the band and can belt out the vocals with her own bluesy style.

Adam Atkinson will be back on mandolin. Adam's chops on the mandolin help to keep the rythmn moving and steady.

Back with us, Dave Bevins, the 2003 National Dobro Champion from Chilson, NY. Dave is featured on Bainbridge Opera House II, Twilight of Day, along with Angels Rejoice CD and the Live at the Bainbridge CD. Dave is an exceptional, tasteful and inventive player that fits very well with the Atkinson's style and family.

We are very pleased to be able to continue with Dick Atkinson on banjo, lead and harmony vocals, Shelene Atkinson on guitar, lead and harmony vocals. We all contribute to the band and make it a family affair!

We have busy season ahead, so please come out and say hello!
